Javier Ortiz, Engineer
Javier Ortiz is an experienced civil engineer with over 20 years of practice in civil engineering and military medical construction. He can effectively plan, design, manage, and oversee construction projects of any scale. In his roles as Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Construction Manager for a mega military project within a hospital environment, he most recently achieved the oversight and completion of projects totaling over $1.3 billion for the Department of Defense. In addition to extensive experience in military construction projects, Javier also brings a strong background in projects pertaining to site development, hydraulic and hydrology design, and flood studies. As Lead Engineer, he has managed multiple domestic and global projects that focused on the design of a stormwater pump station, roads and airways, hydraulic design of waterways, and residential and commercial site development. Javier also has valuable expertise in alternative energy, having served as the Senior Project Engineer for a solar company in Texas for multiple years.
To complement 20 years of effective engineering leadership and expertise Javier has achieved relevant training and certifications, including Life Safety inspection, with strong skills in assessment and analysis; extensive training in Life Safety codes; and trained in the Corps of Engineers construction quality management process. He is fluent in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to work with diverse clients. He holds professional engineer registrations in Texas, New Mexico, and Washington.
Javier spends his spare time enjoying the company of his large extended family and cherishes quality time with his wife and their two boys.
